Day 41

-could not catch a cab this morn for anything

-walked a few blocks and finally caught one

-stomach was not feeling up to par either in the midst of doing this
-got to work

-had a meeting detailing current and future projects
-rbdub reviewed some pics for the club sandwich project

-had a wonderful organic meal from club sandwich (branding and packaging courtesy of RBW)


-solidworked some new furniture pieces the rest of the day
-went to Areaware meeting

-breathed some new life into the timer project

-reviewed a new sample of the coatrack fresh from China

-walked home (this is people get hit by cars)

-check out the sweet neon lightage

-subway sandwich man…you will not tempt me tonight

-philly cheese staked it for din din

-got home
-updated blog
-noticed my roommates dog licking a pillow

-sleepytime

day 40

-beautiful day

-people watching





-these wrapper's will be a collector's item in a few years...so stop littering...u punks.

-ran into Jeff (other intern) around 2nd street

-got to work
-listened to this guy give a very eloquent commentary on his difficulties with his harness in a thick New York construction worker accent.

-worked some more on the pendent render(probe the most complicated render I've ever done)
-dined with a vietnamese sandwich for lunch

-got it without out carrots this time

-look at al this model awesomeness we got going on

-met up w/ pamage and saw "New york, I love you" (the NYC version of Paris Je T'aime)

-got some dinner w/ pam (subway)

-sleepytime!

Day 39

-caught a cab this morn (bit cold outside)

-chatted with Alex about the progress of the renders for the pendent lamp
-some notes he gave me

-jeff (other intern) set up shop and began work on a new lighting concept model

-my renders are taking forever

-walked over to the Chinese dumpling place

-got 5 dumplings and sticky noodle soup

-left work around 6:00

-my back was hurting a bit so I hit up the old korean nail salon/massage parlor

-the source of my pain

-got a nice big club sandwich

-sleepy timed it

Day 38

-took a little more effort to catch a cab this morning

-got to work. the guys were ideating a bit

-worked on some renders of new stool concepts

-didn't have any boxes, so I made one. Quite possibly one of the sweetest looking packaging jobs I've ever done.

-ate some more pizza for lunch

-my white contact came in.

-headed out around 5:30
-got home and rested up a bit before the show
-got there around 8:30 expecting at east 100 people to be lined up

-there was about 15 people much to my surprise

-talked with peeps a bit about how much they spent on tickets (apparently I'm not the only one who spent a bit more than the original price (a bit more to say the least))
-after about two hours of waiting we walked in
-I noticed a nice little sign saying they were selling tickets at the door for $50…made me feel all warm and fuzzy. : /
-Jackson opened up (he killed it)

-Gaspard & Xavier

-I took a lot of sweet little videos (i'll try to have a sweet edit together pretty soon)

-during the concert this 7' 300 lb. security guard fell off the stage as he was trying to keep someone from stage diving

-part of his landing pad was my head…I don't know how or why but I was fine…he was pretty messed up though. (felt bad for him)
-the discs stopped spinning after a nice little encore
-walked home with my ears ringing and my mouth smiling at what an awesome night that was.
