Day 34

-got out the door just in time to be on time with a cab

-slightly chilly/windy day

-got to studio
-the dudes ideated a bit over curent projects

-worked on some a a few stools we've got in the works

-ate a cuban for lunch

-worked some more on the stools (sanding & scraping to perfection)

-sent off to packages via ups
-we got some beer and chips to end a good week

-got a pretzel on my walk home (ridiculously salty)

caught a cab to the port authority (bus terminal)

-rode the bus to Jersey

-chilled with pamage her gam over some good dinner (Dominican pot pie)

-made snooze time

Day 33

-absolutely gorgeous day today

-people watched on my way



-got to the office

-finished a 3d model of a milkstool concept

-dudes had a skype meeting

-did some photoshopping for the website
-got a hotdog on my way home

-people watch some more

-ate a cuban sandwich from the deli downstairs

-layed down on my wonderful air mattress and got 40 winks

Day 32

-out the door right on time today
-I would of taken a lot of people watching pictures but the memory card on my phone was filled up (just about 1300 pictures on it)
-called my dad to get the status on my sister (whos over 9 months pregnant)
-turns out she had just gone into labor as I called
-got to work right on time
-finished working on the RBW sampler binders
-got snow leopard installed on mac

-called my dad to see how my sis was progressing
-worked some more on the stools for areaware

-ate some vietnamese sandwiches

-called to see how my sis was progressing again
-we reviewed the stool and critiqued it a bit

-my lack of good sleep caught up with me around 4. red bull fixed that though.

-got off work around 5:30
-called again to get the status on my sis
-saw this girl was playing pic-a-boo with her kid...kind of a creepy pic unfortunately.

-met up with pamage and got some burritos and beer

-accidentally started to drink the hot sauce instead of beer (they look similar out of the corner of the eye)

-got home and fell asleep for a bit
-at 11:57 Case Michael Kosut entered this world (8.6 lbs 21 inches)

-you may call me uncle wyatt ;)

Day 29

-had work off today (the dudes went to RISD to give a lecture)
-got up at a decent hour (10:00) and got some clothes washing done

-as i was sitting there watching all the little chinese ladies fold clothes I realized that carting my clothes around in plastic bags isn't very sustainable so I bought a nice big orange dirty clothes bag.

-walked down yonder to get some lunchtime grub
-NYC is green (sometimes)

-went to Mcdonalds
-the clerk and I had some communication problems

-I couldnt fight the the call of the Mcganger

-saw some rad looking hipsters
-got back to find that my new rasta headband had shrunken significantly during the drying process

-got all my nice dry clean clothes and headed out to New Jersey
-caught a cab to the bus terminal

-walked into the bus terminal and realized I had no idea what gate to go to
-jugding by the forlorn confused look on my face Joe stopped and helped me

-the conversation went like this:
Joe: Where you trying to go?
me: umm gate 212
joe: no no, thats the area
me: oh
joe: what town are you trying to go too?
me: (my mind goes blank) (I had never been to Pams town before)
joe: how do you not know what town your going to.
me: i dont know I...(trails off) (I had completely forgot Pam had written the name of the town and everything down for me)
- we made our way to the ticket clerk and figured out the gate number.
-he asked me if I was from New York and I proudly proclaimed I was a Texan
-we inevitably talked politics as we went up the escalator
-found the right gate
-shook his hand and thanked him
-headed out to NJ

-sat in the very back seat next to the window
-two hispanic children (about 4-6) sat next to me
-as our train came out of the station to a spectacular view of the city I herd the two kids yell something like "!hay qué mundo!"

-their look of wonder made me smile

-watched all the big skyscrapers turn into quaint little houses and shops
-helvetica is such a uniform font

-the trip lasted about an 1.5 hours
-got to Pam's. unfortunately, something had exploded in my bag as I walked into Pam's house and dripped unidentified fluid everywhere (turned out to be contact solution)
-met pams sister Denise

-ate some flan

-opened a 4 hour can of sleep

Day 28

-out the door right on time
-another beautiful day in the neighborhood

-Did a lot of people watching today














-got to the design layer and started working on changes to the projects Areaware selected
-
- French guy (Jaques Cristo) stopped by to talk with the dudes about publishing some of their designs.
-we breaked for lunch, I decided to mix it up a bit and wrap my steak salad in a tortilla (was friggin awesome)

-sign says"lettuce toss your salad"

-the rest of the day was pretty much a blur....but the timer design is def progressing
-got off work around 6ish
-walked over to the little novelty street vender place and bought my rastafari colored headband ($2)

-walked home talking to my dad about life etc on the phone
-I'm a little more subtle with my picture snapping (at least I like to think so)

-the 80's are so hot right now

-got home and in the midst of showing of my new rasta headband my roomie April showed me the top of our roof...got some pretty sweet shots.


-stayed in and worked on various side projects the rest of the night
-although, I did get out and ate me a reuben sandwhich around midnight

-came back and this guy was having sleepytime on my front door steps
