weekend action 01

Saturday
-awoke at the bright hour of 2:00p.m. (all of these 4:00 o'clockers caught up with me)
-cleaned up a bit and washed some clothes

-decided to grab some food while my clothes were washn
-walked 2 blocks to get my cheesesteak on
-saw the most awesome dog ever

-ordered, had my card stamped (once you get 9 stamps your tenth is free-I was on my second)
-tried to pay with plastic (only cash)
-got some money out of the atm
-diff guy rung me up and stamped my card again (that put me in a pretty good mood ;)
-looking at this meal made me realize how happy I am to be alive

-went back to the Laundromat and got a stuck in a trance watching all the clothes spin in the driers
-decided to go buy some pants

-met up w/ pamage
-saw Renaldo at the Living Room again (I never thought I would enjoy absurdist comedy ensembles...but its friggin awesom)

-swung by National and leaned against the back wall drinking my yuengling...while Pam danced her buns off.
-Eventually I started to feel a bit anxious and tired of listening to the same bar songs over and over again...so I made a walk around the block a bit.
-seriously within 5 minutes 4 people asked me for directions..some nice some not so much. (I gave them all the same, "sorry I just moved here and have no idea" response.)
-went back to National and the whole place kinda smelled like vomit..so I decided to get some food and get a lil shuteye
-talked w/ Pam and April for a bit
-retired around 6:00 a.m

Sunday
-We (pam & I) headed out around 1:00ish ready to dominate Central Park picnic style
-rode the subway

-weather was friggin perfect for a park day (deep blue sky /no clouds /slight breeze /about 85)

-I have to say without a doubt in my mind that Central Park is the best thing I have seen since sliced bread.

-ate some lunch (turkey panini, some dominican chips and grape soda)

-people watched for about an hour

-layed in the shade for another hour

-helped pamage with some crossword puzzles

-eventually made our way to a kmart to buy some towels (I've bee drying off with shirts and other random things since I got here)
-so many people

-saw this guy with some amazing juggling skills (knife, torch apple..while balancing a plank of wood on a round pipe thing) he then ate 3 bites of the apple as he was juggling.

-ate some taco bell and got hassled by some huge black guy with a red hoodie
-the hassle went like this:
-Rude guy: "Hey, you got 20 cents? I gotta catch the bus.
-Pam: "No, sorry we dont have any change"
-Me: "Nah, sorry dude."
-Rude guy: long awkward stare at the receipt on the table
-Rude guy: Well, your receipt says otherwise
-Pam: "No, actually it doesnt. it says we payed with a visa credit card"
-Me: "Yeah..."
by this time the indian clerk walked up and chased him off...apparently he comes in quite often
-hung out with Pam and her old friend Isabello at his new apt

-Even though we were both pretty full we ate some more (chicken wth spinach and pasta) twas very good
-left around 10:30ish hung out with Pam for a bit at Penn station til her train came
-She gave me directions home (I seriously had no idea where I was at that point) and then we parted ways
-saw some more sleepy people

-I actually made it home without a hitch...I am making progress ;)
